Communication is key
We aim to provide an outstanding level of service to our referring practitioners. High on our list of priorities, is communication. We understand the importance of receiving prompt feedback about your patient. You will receive a clear, concise letter within a week of the initial appointment, particularly if you accept electronic communication (email or encrypted). Patient management works best when everyone is kept "in the loop", so we copy all communication (with patient approval, of course) to appropriate interested parties, including a copy to the patient. Getting in touch with us
In order to facilitate your communication with us, we offer:
Acute Injury Clinic Mondays
We have introduced an acute injury clinic every Monday, with urgent appointments available at short notice. If you're covering an event, or called to help out from the sidelines, and caring for an injured participant who doesn't require immediate (Emergency Department) attention, prompt expert assessment is easy to organise. Just use one of the above online referral forms, or call us and leave a voice mail - we'll contact you or the patient and line up an appointment for Monday! More information.... Educational Services
As Fellows of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (FACSEP) we take an active role in Registrar teaching. We see this as a part of our responsibility to the College, particularly as the Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) training program attracts minimal government funding, and takes place in private practice settings such as Peak Sports Medicine. It is gratifying to be involved with the professional growth and maturation of our talented Registrars. Free In-house educational services - Professional CPD We enjoy staying up to date with new developments in sports medicine, and we're happy to share our knowledge. We offer in-house sports medicine education sessions on a range of topics, presented in the comfort of your own clinic. In this way, we can contribute to your CPD program (including RACGP QI&CPD Program points) whilst giving you an insight into the way we approach various clinical scenarios. We also enjoy the two-way interaction with referring health practitioners, providing an opportunity to build mutual understanding and professional relationships with colleagues. Please ask us about the CPD events we can conduct for you, including our list of available presenters and topics. |
